Harwich and Pakrkeston have announced the signing of Jake Gordon.
Gordon started his football career at Chelmsford City's academy and made an impression as a striker, scoring 50 goals to progress to the senior ranks.
City loaned him to Brightlingsea Regent where he continued to get goals and attract the interest of EFL scouts.
He then signed for Aveley and later moved on to Witham Town.
He had spells at Great Wakering Rovers and played for them in the 2024 FA Vase final at Wembley, having scored in the semi-final.
He then joined the FA Vase winners, Romford, and in the 2024/25 season, as an attacking-midfielder, scored 16 goals in 36 matches and was retained by them for the 2025/26 campaign.
Joint manager Matt Carmichael (pictured, right, with fellow boss Sean Tynan) said: "Jake has a fantastic pedigree that will bring a new level to us at the Shrimpers.
"When I spoke to Paul (Phelan) at Little Oakley (where Gordon did pre-season) and found out that he was available, it was a no-brainer for the club.
"We all look forward to working with Jake and seeing what he can bring to the club. Thank you to Heybridge Swifts (with whom Gordon was registered) and Little Oakley for helping to get this transfer sorted swiftly."
Gordon could make his debut in Saturday's home Essex Senior League game with Hackney Wick (kick-off 3pm).
