Get your FA Cup trophy ticket!

With numbers capped, fans will need to sign up for a free ticket if they want to see the FA Cup trophy at the Royal Oak on Thursday (July 31).

Harwich and Parkeston FC is delighted to share further important details about the forthcoming Emirates FA Cup trophy visit.
The world-famous trophy will be on display at the Royal Oak ground on the evening of Thursday July 31.
However, with high numbers of people expected, members of the public will need to book a time slot for their visit and the chance to have their picture taken with the trophy.
Following liaison with the FA, who have run similar events on many previous occasions, a booking system to get your free ticket has been set up.
To book yours, simply fill out the online form by clicking here.
We cannot guarantee entry to anyone without a ticket.
If you have already arranged your visit through HPFC Youth, there is no need to use this booking system.
There will be several other things to see on the day.
The Harwich Charity Cup will also be on show. Arguably more decorative than its more famous counterpart, it was made by the same silversmith as the FA Cup - Bradford-based Fattorini and Sons – 12 years earlier.
It was first contested in 1899 but the competition ceased in 2013. The trophy has recently been on display at Harwich Museum.
There will also be an exhibition about Harwich and Parkeston’s rich history in the FA Cup. Focus is on the six occasions on which the club reached the first-round proper, including when they played current Premier League side Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in 1963.
To reach round one this season, the Shrimpers would need to win six qualifying ties, the first of which will be played on Saturday August 2 at home to Southern League side AFC Dunstable (kick-off 3pm).
The programme for that game will be on sale at the FA Cup trophy visit, priced £2. It includes more on HPFC’s FA Cup history, as well as a detailed look at the last time the club reached the first-round proper in 1976.
Drinks and bar snacks will be available in the social club.
For those coming by car, free parking is available in the club car park next to the social club. It is accessed from Main Road, which also has some on-street parking.
