Sam Felgate has rejoined Harwich and Parkeston ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The goalkeeper made 140 appearances for the Shrimpers between 2014 and 2020.
Since leaving the Royal Oak, he has played for current HPFC joint-manager Matt Carmichael in the Essex Senior League at Little Oakley.
More recently, he has been playing for Stanway Pegasus in the Thurlow Nunn League’s Division One North. Sam was in goal for Pegasus when they lost to HPFC in the 2024/25 play-off final.
Joint-manager Matt Carmichael said: "We're delighted to have Sam return to the Shrimpers. It's important to have competition in every position in this league and Sam comes back to Harwich already well known to our fans.
"Having been consistently one of the best keepers at Step 6, myself and Sean (Tynan) look forward to seeing him back in the Shrimpers' colours and adding strength to the squad."
Having been the reserves’ stopper in 2013/14, Sam (pictured during his initial spell) made his first-team debut the following season when the club was down in Division One of the Essex and Suffolk Border League. He kept six successive clean sheets during that campaign.

He remained in goal when the club returned to senior football and was part of the side which won a post-War club record 12 successive games in 2018/19.
Meanwhile, club captain Gareth Heath, Tyler Sullivan, Liam White, Tom Watkins, Zac Pedro and Jack Cosby are the latest of last season’s players to agree to stay at the Oak.
