Cup final on the Oak

HPFC will host the Essex and Suffolk Border League's Richard Degville Cup final this Saturday (May 9).

Harwich and Parkeston FC is proud to have been chosen as the host venue for this weekend’s Richard Degville Cup final.
The Essex and Suffolk Border League competition for clubs in Divisions Three and Four will conclude at the Gwinnell and Sons Royal Oak on Saturday (May 9) when Mersea Island face off against Great Bentley ‘A’ (kick-off 3pm).
Entry is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. The tea hut will serving hot food, plus drinks and snacks, while the bar will be open from 12 noon.
The HPFC ‘A’ team were among those involved in the competition but they lost to Great Bentley ‘A’, who have ex-Shrimper Tony Chatters in their ranks, at the quarter-final stage last month.
The competition is named after the league’s former vice-chairman, widely known as Dick, who died earlier this season. Members of his family have been invited to make the trophy presentation.
