On Saturday 29th July at 4pm H&P will kick off a match against Royal Antwerp Pioneers at the historic Royal Oak ground. This match marks the 125th anniversary of when H&P journeyed by steamer to play Antwerp City, Harwich then entertained the Belgian team twice the following year.
Alongside the H&P committee Tom Simons from Pioneers has worked hard to put this celebratory fixture together and we hope that as many people as possible will join us on the day to celebrate this and the clubs 140th anniversary on the day. The day starts with Youth football from 1pm and the main event at 4pm. The social club will be open from noon, the tea hut will open at 1pm for hot food & drinks, there will also be a popcorn & candy floss stall & ice cream van inside the ground. A special programme has been done by our club historian which will be available on the day .

We hope as many townsfolk as possible can join us to celebrate these anniversaries and welcome our visitors from Belgium, alongside the town Mayor.
